OnePlus Ace 7
The buzz around OnePlus’ next big smartphone is already gaining momentum, even before its official confirmation. Fresh leaks suggest that the upcoming OnePlus Ace 7 could bring some serious flagship-level upgrades, making it one of the most exciting devices to watch in 2026.
The predecessor, OnePlus Ace 6, made its debut in China in October last year and later entered the Indian market in December under a new name — the OnePlus 15R. Now, attention has shifted to its successor, and early reports indicate that the Ace 7 could push performance boundaries even further.
According to a recent leak shared by well-known tipster Smart Pikachu on the Chinese platform Weibo, the OnePlus Ace 7 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This next-generation processor is anticipated to deliver top-tier performance and efficiency, placing the device firmly in the premium segment. The same chipset is also expected to feature in upcoming flagship models like the OnePlus 15, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and Oppo Find X9 Ultra, hinting at the kind of power users can expect.
If the leak turns out to be accurate, the Ace 7 could arrive in the fourth quarter of 2026. While that may seem far off, the early details have already started building excitement among tech enthusiasts and gamers alike.
One of the standout features rumoured for the OnePlus Ace 7 is an advanced active cooling system. Unlike many smartphones that rely on passive cooling, this device could include a built-in fan to manage heat during intensive tasks. Interestingly, even the recently launched Ace 6 Ultra does not feature such an integrated cooling solution, instead depending on external accessories. This upgrade could significantly enhance sustained performance, especially during long gaming sessions or heavy multitasking.
Another area where the Ace 7 might shine is its display. Leaks hint at an “ultra-high refresh rate” panel, although the exact specifications remain under wraps. However, industry insiders, including tipster Digital Chat Station, have previously suggested that upcoming OnePlus devices could experiment with refresh rates as high as 240Hz. If the Ace 7 adopts such a display, it would offer incredibly smooth visuals, making it ideal for gaming and high-frame-rate content consumption.
To understand the direction OnePlus is heading, it’s worth looking at the recently launched OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra. This device features a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1800 nits, delivering vibrant visuals and excellent outdoor visibility.
Under the hood, the Ace 6 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on a 3nm architecture. It offers up to 16GB of RAM and an impressive 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring smooth performance and ample space for apps, games, and media.
In terms of photography, the smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The camera system supports advanced features such as HDR, panorama, and 4K video recording at up to 120fps. On the front, users get a 16MP selfie camera capable of recording 1080p videos with gyro-EIS support for stable footage.
Battery life is another strong point of the Ace 6 Ultra. The device packs a massive 7800mAh battery, paired with 120W wired fast charging. According to the company, the phone can charge up to 58% in just 20 minutes and reach a full charge in around 43 minutes. It also includes bypass charging technology, which helps reduce heat generation during heavy usage like gaming.
Given these impressive specifications, expectations from the OnePlus Ace 7 are naturally high. If the rumours are true, the device could bring meaningful upgrades in performance, thermal management, and display technology, making it a strong contender in the premium smartphone segment.
While OnePlus has yet to officially confirm any details about the Ace 7, the growing number of leaks suggests that the company is gearing up to deliver another powerful device. As the launch timeline approaches, more concrete information is expected to emerge, giving a clearer picture of what this next-generation smartphone will offer.
