Iran Army Day
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently opened up about his son Aarav Bhatia and his decision to stay away from the film industry. Instead of following in his father’s footsteps, Aarav has chosen to pursue a career in fashion—starting from the ground level and gaining real-world experience.
In a candid conversation with journalist Shubhankar Mishra, Akshay shared that Aarav is focused, disciplined, and clear about his ambitions. Despite being born into a film family, Aarav has no plans to enter Bollywood and is instead determined to build his own identity in the fashion world.
Akshay revealed that Aarav is currently working a modest job, earning around ₹4,500, as part of his learning process. Rather than opting for a glamorous or easy path, he has chosen to understand fashion at its roots. According to the actor, Aarav has been visiting villages to study traditional prints, fabrics, and techniques, gaining hands-on knowledge of the craft.
The actor expressed pride in his son’s approach, saying that there is nothing wrong with starting small if it helps in building a strong foundation. Aarav’s journey reflects a grounded mindset, focusing on skill development rather than instant fame.
Speaking about his parenting style, Akshay emphasized that he prefers not to impose his views on his children. He believes in giving them independence to make their own choices. His only advice to Aarav has been simple—live honestly and avoid hurting others. Beyond that, he encourages his son to shape his own path.
Aarav, born in 2002, is the elder child of Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna. He moved abroad at a young age to continue his education and is currently studying in London. Known for maintaining a low profile, Aarav stays away from media attention, unlike many celebrity children. His younger sister Nitara, however, occasionally appears on social media posts shared by Twinkle.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Akshay Kumar continues to remain active in the film industry. His recent release, Bhooth Bangla, features a strong ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rajpal Yadav.
Looking ahead, Akshay will next appear in Welcome To The Jungle, a multi-starrer film that includes Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Arshad Warsi. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on June 26.
Aarav’s decision to carve his own path highlights a refreshing contrast in an industry where many star kids choose acting careers. His focus on learning, humility, and independence sets an example of following passion over expectation.
