Realme 16 Pro with 200MP Camera and Dimensity 7300-Max

Realme is preparing to introduce the Realme 16 Pro in India on January 6, 2026, positioning it as a premium mid-range phone that borrows many features from its higher-end sibling, the Pro+. The company has confirmed that the upcoming device will use the same flagship-grade camera system, while also packing upgrades in battery life, display quality and overall performance.

200MP camera arrives in the Pro series

At the heart of the Realme 16 Pro is a 200MP LumaColor primary camera — the first in the lineup to feature this sensor. Built on Samsung’s HP5 technology, the setup includes Super OIS and full-pixel auto zoom. Realme claims the phone supports lossless zoom at 1x, 2x and 4x, and has also secured TÜV Rheinland certification for colour accuracy.

Supporting the hardware is Realme’s HyperRAW processing engine, designed to enhance dynamic range in both group shots and low-light scenes. The idea is to maintain clarity in faces while preserving natural background lighting.

AI portrait upgrades and creative tools

Borrowing from the Pro+ model, the phone offers five portrait focal lengths — 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3.5x and 4x — making it easier to capture everything from full-body portraits to tight close-ups with depth separation.

A new Vibe Master Mode brings 21 preset portrait styles tailored to different lighting environments. Meanwhile, the AI Edit Genie tool allows users to tweak elements such as backgrounds and hairstyles while keeping facial details intact.

Video features for content creators

For video recording, the Realme 16 Pro supports 4K HDR at 1x and 2x zoom. MainTrack subject tracking keeps moving subjects in focus, and AI Instant Clip generates quick, ready-to-share templates for travel, parties, and lifestyle content.

Bigger battery, brighter display

Powering the device is a 7000mAh Titan Battery, aimed at users who spend long hours streaming, gaming, or multitasking. Realme includes features like Super Power Saving Mode and bypass charging to reduce heat during heavy use, assisted by an AI-based battery management chip to preserve long-term health.

On the front, users get a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 6500 nits, promising smooth visuals and improved outdoor readability.

Dimensity 7300-Max under the hood

The Realme 16 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max 5G chipset, with Realme claiming AnTuTu scores exceeding 970,000. Thermal performance is handled by an AirFlow VC cooling system designed to maintain stable performance during gaming or intensive apps.

The device runs Realme UI 7.0, powered by the Flux Engine, and introduces the NEXT AI suite — including AI Framing Master, AI Recording, and native integration with Google Gemini.

Design and durability

Continuing its collaboration with renowned designer Naoto Fukasawa, Realme has crafted the phone in three finishes — Master Gold, Pebble Grey and Orchid Purple. The handset features a skin-friendly textured back and is rated IP69 for resistance to dust and water.

Launch outlook

The Realme 16 Pro will be officially unveiled on January 6, 2026, when pricing and complete availability details will be revealed. With its combination of a 200MP camera, high-refresh display and large battery, the phone is expected to challenge established players in the mid-premium category.
