Mridul Tiwari Slams Bigg Boss 19 Eviction, Backs Gaurav Khanna, Calls Farrhana Bhatt ‘Evil’

Former Bigg Boss 19 contestant and YouTuber Mridul Tiwari, who was evicted from the Salman Khan–hosted reality show on Wednesday, has spoken out strongly after his exit. In an exclusive conversation with SCREEN, he criticised the show’s elimination format, accused the makers of bias, and questioned the gameplay of contestants Tanya Mittal and Farrhana Bhatt. He also expressed his support for Gaurav Khanna, whom he wants to see as the winner.

Reflecting on his time inside the Bigg Boss house, Mridul shared that his biggest achievement was earning love from the audience. “I feel overwhelmed seeing the positive reactions. For me, winning people’s hearts mattered more than the trophy, and I’m happy that I succeeded in that. I haven’t received even a fraction of hate since the show began,” he said.

Calls His Eviction ‘Unfair’

Mridul strongly criticised the eviction process that led to his exit. “Only 50 people were brought in to decide between three contestants. If you compare that with the huge number of votes I received during my entry, the difference is shocking,” he explained.

He added that he had no clarity on what instructions those 50 individuals were given. “I can’t say what briefing they got or what their mindset was. But the entire method felt extremely unfair.”

The YouTuber further questioned the makers’ decision to introduce a new format for his elimination. “If audience voting has determined evictions for 15 weeks, why bring in a different system suddenly? It defeats the whole purpose. What about the viewers across the country who support their favourite contestants? They were completely sidelined,” he said.
According to him, the new eviction style did not just harm him—it was unfair to the loyal audience too.

He also alleged that the show’s team might be exercising selective favouritism. “The makers know exactly who they want to protect and who they want to remove. When someone they prefer is at risk, they cancel eviction rounds. When others are vulnerable, they go ahead with it. They are running the show as per their strategy,” he claimed.

His Bond With Gaurav Khanna

Inside the Bigg Boss house, Mridul formed a close friendship with actor Gaurav Khanna, who was seen getting emotional after his eviction. Opening up about their bond, Mridul said, “Gaurav and I connected really well. He treated me like a younger brother. I never felt lonely because he always looked out for me.”

Praising the actor’s nature, he continued, “He is someone I deeply respect. We spent almost the entire day together, and I genuinely enjoyed his company. I believe our friendship was real, and from my side, there was never any personal agenda. I didn’t need publicity or support from anyone, and I didn’t even know who was famous or who did what. My behaviour in the house was completely genuine.”

Mridul concluded by mentioning that he hopes Gaurav Khanna wins Bigg Boss 19, and termed Farrhana Bhatt’s gameplay as “very evil,” saying he was surprised to see people appreciating her.
