Arshad Madani Says Islam Targeted by Fear and Misinformation: Calls for Unity and Brotherhood

Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Arshad Madani has issued a strong statement, alleging that certain groups deliberately spread misinformation to create fear about Islam. He said that Islam is being wrongly associated with terrorism even though the religion promotes peace, harmony, and compassion.

“Propaganda is Fueling Hatred”

Madani expressed concern over the growing spread of false narratives. He claimed that people are being misled through continuous propaganda, resulting in increasing hostility towards Islam.
“These people are not as afraid of the atom bomb as they are of Islam,” he remarked, adding that such fear is rooted in ignorance and misinformation.

He further stated that forces attempting to weaken or destroy Islam will not succeed, asserting that the religion has survived for centuries and will continue to do so.

“Humanity Comes First”

Highlighting universal brotherhood, Madani said that all human beings are descendants of Adam, and religion came afterward. He emphasized that those who fuel negativity against Islam neither understand India’s history nor value its unity.

He urged people to uphold the message of love, harmony, and mutual respect regardless of their faith.
“Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians should all live with affection and unity,” he said.

Madani warned that following individuals who spread hate in the name of religion is harmful not only for society but for the nation as a whole.

“Power is Temporary”

Speaking about political and social power, Madani said that those who misuse authority to divide people should realize that power never lasts forever.
“Governments come and go, but no one remains in power permanently,” he noted.

He reiterated that Islam has existed for over 1,400 years and will continue to exist until the Day of Judgment.

Madani concluded by urging people to reject hatred and embrace brotherhood as the foundation of a peaceful society.
