Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and a key figure on India’s most-wanted list, is being deported from the United States to India, according to officials familiar with the development.
Sources confirmed that Anmol is expected to arrive in New Delhi on Wednesday, just hours after the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) notified the family of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique—who was assassinated in Bandra on October 12, 2024—about Anmol’s removal from American territory.
“This email is to inform you that ANMOL BISHNOI has been removed from the United States… The offender was removed on November 18, 2025,” the communication from DHS stated. Siddique’s family later shared a screenshot of the message.
A resident of Punjab’s Fazilka district, Anmol fled India using a forged passport and moved across several countries, including Nepal, Dubai, and Kenya, before entering the US. His detention in November last year initiated the formal deportation proceedings that concluded this week.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has listed Anmol among its most-wanted fugitives and announced a ₹10 lakh reward for information leading to his arrest.
Officials said he is currently facing at least 18 criminal cases in India, most notably the conspiracy to murder ex-minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique. Siddique was gunned down by three attackers outside his son Zeeshan’s office in Bandra East, suffering three bullet wounds.
Soon after the killing, a social media post by Shubham Lonkar—suspected to be part of the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate—claimed responsibility for the assassination. Over 24 suspects have been arrested in connection with the case so far.
Anmol is also accused of orchestrating the firing outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra in April 2024, an incident authorities believe was ordered by the Bishnoi network. His alleged involvement in the May 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala remains among the most significant charges, with investigators claiming he coordinated the operation from overseas.
According to a senior NIA officer, Anmol acted as Lawrence Bishnoi’s chief overseas handler, overseeing extortion networks, issuing threats, and managing key operations through encrypted communication channels.
