Amethi news: A shocking video from Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi has sparked public outrage after a woman was seen beating a madrasa teacher with a whip, accusing him of sexually assaulting her 15-year-old daughter. The man, identified in a complaint as Haseeb, is reportedly a Maulana and madrasa instructor. In the viral clip, he is seen pleading for mercy with folded hands as the woman continues striking him.
The incident is believed to have taken place in the Jamo police station area. Police officials have confirmed that an investigation is underway to verify the identities of everyone involved and determine the exact location where the incident occurred.
What the Video Shows
The widely circulated video, which surfaced on Tuesday, records the woman hitting the accused multiple times with a whip over a span of two minutes while confronting him with allegations of abusing her minor daughter. She accuses him of forcibly violating her daughter and demands that he confess.
The accused can be heard denying the allegations, repeatedly claiming his innocence while crying for help. Another woman present at the scene is believed to have filmed the incident on a mobile phone.
Formal Complaint Amplifies the Case
The matter gained further attention after Sarvesh Kumar Singh, state in-charge of the Rashtriya Gau Raksha Vahini, shared the video along with a complaint letter on social media.
The letter, addressed to the Sultanpur Superintendent of Police, identifies the accused as Maulana Haseeb from a madrasa in Bahmarpur Gram Panchayat. It also alleges that he had previously faced complaints in the Kudwar police station area.
Singh demanded that authorities conduct a character verification of madrasas and their teachers in the district, expressing concerns about the safety of children studying in such institutions.
Police Statement
According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, Jamo Police Station in-charge Vinod Singh stated that the team is currently attempting to verify the identities of the woman—believed to run a shop in Jamo—and the accused Maulana, who is suspected not to be from Amethi.
He said that a formal FIR will be lodged once initial verification is completed, and appropriate legal action will follow.
Authorities have urged the public not to spread unverified videos or make assumptions until the investigation concludes.
