OnePlus is set to unveil the OnePlus 15R in India later this week, alongside the new OnePlus Pad Go 2. The launch will reportedly take place at a special offline event in Bengaluru on December 17. While several details about the upcoming devices have already surfaced, the biggest question among buyers remains the India pricing of the OnePlus 15R.
Ahead of the official announcement, a well-known tipster has shared fresh information about the expected price range and sales strategy of the OnePlus 15R, giving potential buyers a clearer idea of what to expect.
OnePlus 15R India Price Leak
According to tipster Paras Guglani, the OnePlus 15R is likely to debut at a higher price compared to its predecessor, the OnePlus 13R. The base variant of the OnePlus 15R is expected to be priced between ₹47,000 and ₹49,000 in India, which would make it around ₹7,000 more expensive than the earlier model at launch.
In addition, the higher-end variant with 512GB storage is tipped to be priced above ₹52,000. However, OnePlus may soften the price hike by offering attractive bank discounts. As per the leak, instant card offers could reduce the effective price by up to ₹4,000, bringing the base variant closer to the ₹43,000 mark.
It is important to note that these prices are not official and should be treated as speculative until OnePlus confirms the final pricing during the launch event.
Expected Specifications of OnePlus 15R
The OnePlus 15R is expected to serve as the brand’s new premium mid-range smartphone, effectively replacing the OnePlus 13R in the lineup. Reports suggest that the device could be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 6T, which was recently launched in China.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15R is tipped to feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The phone is expected to offer configurations of up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. On the software front, it is likely to ship with OxygenOS 16 based on Android out of the box.
In terms of optics, the smartphone is expected to sport a 50MP primary rear camera with optical image stabilization, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies and video calls, the OnePlus 15R is said to feature a 32MP front camera that supports 4K video recording along with autofocus.
One of the standout features of the upcoming device is expected to be its battery. The OnePlus 15R is tipped to pack a massive 7,400mAh battery, which would be the largest ever on a OnePlus smartphone. It is also expected to support 80W fast wired charging.
With its powerful hardware, upgraded battery, and premium positioning, the OnePlus 15R is shaping up to be a strong contender in the upper mid-range smartphone segment, pending official confirmation later this week.
