Akshaye Khanna’s powerful performance in Aditya Dhar’s action-drama Dhurandhar has been winning hearts across the industry, and the latest to join the chorus of praise is none other than Madhuri Dixit. The veteran actress recently spoke about Akshaye’s acting journey and lauded his dedication, talent, and remarkable growth over the years.
In a conversation with The Sunny G on YouTube, Madhuri Dixit was asked to share her thoughts on Akshaye Khanna’s portrayal of the character Rehman Dakait in Dhurandhar. Expressing genuine happiness for his success, Madhuri highlighted how consistently strong Akshaye has been as a performer since the very beginning of his career.
She shared that when she first worked with Akshaye, he was just starting out, while she was already an established star. Despite being new to the industry at the time, Akshaye displayed immense confidence and acting maturity. Madhuri recalled that even in those early days, his talent stood out clearly, making his current success feel well-deserved and gratifying to witness.
The actress added that watching Akshaye evolve over the years has been inspiring. According to her, he was impressive back then and continues to be exceptional today. Madhuri emphasized that she feels proud seeing him receive the appreciation he truly deserves, especially for a performance as impactful as Dhurandhar.

On the work front, Madhuri Dixit is gearing up for a refreshing and intense role in her upcoming series Mrs Deshpande. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor, the show will feature Madhuri in the role of a serial killer—marking a bold departure from her traditional image. The series also stars Siddharth Chandekar in a pivotal role and has already generated curiosity among fans.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar continues its unstoppable run at the box office. As per industry reports, Dhurandhar has collected approximately ₹367 crore at the domestic box office and has already crossed the ₹400 crore mark globally. Riding high on its massive success, the makers have officially announced a sequel. Dhurandhar Part Two is slated for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026, and is expected to clash with Yash’s highly anticipated film Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups.
