Actress and former Miss India Celina Jaitly has officially confirmed her separation from husband Peter Haag, sharing a deeply emotional note as she opens up about the ongoing domestic violence case filed against him. Her confirmation comes shortly after reports revealed that she has approached a Mumbai court seeking compensation for the alleged abuse that impacted her career and well-being.
Celina filed her petition on November 21, accusing Haag—an Austrian businessman—of severe emotional, physical, sexual, and verbal abuse. According to her complaint, the abuse became unbearable and ultimately forced her to leave their home in Austria and return to India. She also noted that Haag had initiated divorce proceedings in an Austrian court earlier in August.
Amid the legal turmoil, Celina took to Instagram on November 25, sharing a reflective and heart-wrenching message alongside a photo. In her caption, she described feeling completely isolated during the toughest phase of her life—without the support of her parents, her brother, or the family she had once built.

Her message spoke of loss, betrayal, and shattered promises, yet also of the inner strength she discovered in the midst of chaos. Celina expressed that although life “stripped everything away,” she found herself standing firm, rescued by her own resilience rather than broken by the storm around her.
Drawing strength from her upbringing as an Army officer’s daughter, Celina wrote that she was raised to face adversity head-on—with discipline, courage, and unwavering grit. She emphasized that every setback has taught her to rise again, fight injustice, and survive even the most overwhelming circumstances.
As she navigates this painful journey, Celina continues to inspire her followers with her honesty, bravery, and refusal to give up.
