TCS Nashik Case: The investigation into the alleged sexual harassment and forced religious conversion case at a BPO unit of Tata Consultancy Services in Nashik has intensified, with authorities stepping up efforts to trace the main accused. The Special Investigation Team (SIT), constituted by the police, has now formed three dedicated teams to locate Nida Khan, who is considered a key figure in the case.
Nida Khan, an employee associated with the company, has been named as a co-accused in one of the nine FIRs registered so far. These cases involve serious allegations, including sexual harassment and attempts at religious conversion, which have sparked widespread concern and drawn significant public attention.
Husband Detained for Questioning
In a significant development, a team from the Nashik Crime Branch tracked down Khan’s husband in Mumbra and took him into custody for questioning. Investigators are focusing on gathering crucial information about Khan’s whereabouts and understanding her recent movements.
During interrogation, the husband revealed that the couple had recently relocated from Nashik to Mumbai after he secured a job at a private firm in Mumbra. Since February, they had been residing in a rented apartment in Amrut Nagar. He further disclosed that Nida Khan used to commute between her workplace locations in Malad and Hiranandani.
He also informed officials that a relative had taken Khan back to Nashik a few days ago. However, when police teams reached the indicated location, they found the house locked, suggesting that she may have moved again, complicating efforts to trace her.
SIT Intensifies Search Operation
With multiple teams now actively working on the case, authorities are exploring various leads to locate the accused. The SIT is coordinating with different units and tracking possible locations across cities to ensure a swift breakthrough.
The formation of three separate teams highlights the seriousness of the case and the urgency with which the investigation is being pursued. Officials are also examining digital evidence and communication records as part of their probe.
Anticipatory Bail Move
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Nida Khan is preparing to seek anticipatory bail from the Nashik Sessions Court. Her legal counsel has indicated that her pregnancy is being cited as a key ground for seeking relief.
Her lawyer stated that they are currently finalising the bail application in consultation with her family. According to the defence, the FIR primarily includes charges related to hurting religious sentiments, and seeking anticipatory bail is a constitutional right.
The legal team further mentioned that Khan is in the early stages of pregnancy, which adds urgency to the plea for anticipatory bail. The application is expected to be filed soon in the sessions court.
Case Continues to Unfold
The TCS Nashik case has become a major talking point due to the gravity of the allegations and the involvement of a well-known corporate entity. While investigations are ongoing, authorities have reiterated their commitment to uncovering the truth and ensuring that all legal procedures are followed.
As the SIT continues its search for Nida Khan, further developments are expected in the coming days, especially regarding her bail plea and the outcome of ongoing interrogations.
